ATTENDANCE LINE: (801) 572-0251, please be sure to call the attendance line by 8:00am.

In today’ gospel, Jesus tells his disciples to “Stay awake!” It sounds like he is scolding them. Warning them that if they are not ready for the day He comes, they will be in BIG trouble. However, as I read the gospel, I think Jesus is really inviting them to be engaged in the events around them. We do not know the day, all we can do is live in the moment and follow the Beatitudes. He is asking us to TRUST.

  • First Friday prayer is tomorrow at 8:00 am. We will gather in the gym and pray together as a community. If you would like to join us, please remember to be careful where you park so there isn’t a disruption of the drive pattern in the morning.
  • Our new HOT LUNCH program will start next week!! Follow the links below to the menu and website to order. It is very easy. Thank you again to Mrs. Joni Clark for connecting us with this program.
  • Our new Student Information System, RenWeb is up and running. As we work through, learning all of the tools that come with it, we will begin to utilize each feature. Today’s test is sending out the Buzz via RenWeb. Once we have it mastered, we will all enjoy the benefits of this system. Stay tuned for updates!
  • Your HSA is awesome! Keep you eyes open for all of the activities they have planned. Be a Super Hero!

Things are going great with the drive pattern. Hopefully this will be my last reminder about unloading on the curbside of the car and using the crosswalks. Thank you to everyone for keeping our kids safe!

Labor Day weekend is here! I hope everyone enjoys some quality family time

Peace and blessings,

Bryan Penn, M.S.Ed.L

Virtue, Action, Saint of the Month

Each month at Blessed Sacrament we will focus on one virtue, one action, and one saint. For the month of September, the virtue will be respect, the action, Grandparent’s Day, and the Saints will be St. Anne and St. Joachim.

St. Anne and St. Joachim were Jesus’ grandparents.
How wonderful that Jesus has grandparents! St. Joachim and St. Anne remind us of the mystery of the Incarnation: God truly became man and entered into a human family that included not only his mother Mary and father Joseph but their parents, and their parents, and their parents, all the way back to Adam and Eve.
St. Joachim and St. Anne were loving and dedicated parents to their daughter, Mary. They laid the groundwork for Mary’s faith, preparing her to answer one day to the angel Gabriel “Behold, the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done to me according to thy word.”
St. Joachim and St. Anne are the patron saints of grandparents.
On September 21st, we will celebrate Grandparents Day at Blessed Sacrament School. During art class, we will be writing thank you notes and creating gifts for our grandparents to show our love and appreciation for the positive contributions they make in our lives.
