Today’s gospel tells us that the “Harvest is plentiful.” What kind of harvest does the Lord want us to gather today? When Jesus authorized seventy of his disciples to go on mission, he sent them out in twos to begin the work. Just two disciples went in Jesus’ name. A very small beginning. The harvest is the fulfillment of much labor and growth – beginning with the sowing of seeds, then growth to maturity, and finally the harvest of the fruit. This is what we do every day in our amazing community.

  • Your HSA is amazing! Thank you for the surprise day today!
  • Our 7th & 8th graders are heading out to the Tetons next week. Make sure you take a moment and pray for their safe travel and pray for their chaperons 😉
  • The first Graders have their Art exhibit at the Fort Union Barnes and Noble next Thursday. What a great experience for these talented artists.

Great turnout at Chick-Fil-A last night, I love these events! Thanks to Mrs. Martinez and Mrs. Borzilleri for organizing these weekly dinner outings. Pay attention to the reminds and the Buzz for future community events. Also, keep an eye open for all the events of OCTOBER!! A busy month, but aren’t they all!!

Peace and blessings,

October 2017 – First Friday Prayer

For the month of October the virtue we will focus on is Gratitude, which means appreciating the blessings that God has given us. The action will be collecting food for the poor. These donations will be taken to the Saint Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, downtown. The Saint we will learn about is Saint Vincent de Paul.

A prayer that Saint Vincent de Paul wrote is as follows:

“All those who love the poor in life, will have nothing to fear in death.”

Saint Vincent de Paul devoted his life to caring for the poor. In addition to helping feed the poor, he established hospitals, and later, extended his ministries to people in prison. Some say that he infused a Christian spirit in more than 20,000 people in the last 23 years of his life.

Saint Vincent is sometimes referred to as “The Father of the Poor.”

Early Childhood Development Center is still accepting. But space is limited. At this time there are two available openings. If you, or someone you know is interested, please contact Haley Harman, Director of Early Development Center.
