Mrs. Amanda Olivas
Mrs. Olivas became a member of the Blessed Sacrament community in 2014, when she enrolled her oldest daughter in the Pre-Kinder program at our school. She was a frequent volunteer during that year and was brought on as a full-time Pre-K Teacher’s Aide during the 2015-2016 school year. She continued working as a Pre-K Aide while finishing her degree in Early Childhood Education. In May 2017, she completed her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and her Preschool Certificate. In addition to teaching Pre-Kinder this year, she will continue to work on her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and expects to complete it in December 2018. Mrs. Olivas brings plenty of enthusiasm and laughter to our Pre-K classroom. She believes that young children learn best through song and play and those activities are prevalent throughout our Pre-Kinder curriculum. She believes that all children are unique individuals and deserve to be heard and treated with respect in the classroom. It is Mrs. Olivas’s ultimate goal for her students to LOVE coming to school and for them to feel safe and accepted in a loving, nurturing, and structured environment.
