Mrs. Marcy Mullholand
Mrs. Mullholand received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting with a Minor in Art History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master Degree in Art Education K-12 from Boston University. Upon graduation, Mrs. Mullholand worked as an assistant curator for two art galleries in southern California. Once her two children came along, she left the workforce to become a stay-at-home mom, all the while continuing her personal pursuit of creating art. She has been teaching art at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School since 2009. Mrs. Mullholand especially enjoys working with students at all grade levels. In her spare time, she works on commissions and personal artwork. Her philosophy in teaching art to younger children is to introduce different mediums, principles, and art periods as a means of fostering creativity and self-expression. She believes that the art room should be a positive experience for all and a safe place to express oneself.
“I love Blessed Sacrament Catholic School both as a teacher and as a parent of two children who attended this school. I have experienced firsthand the dedication and commitment of the faculty and staff toward educating and nurturing each student. I look forward to introducing new mediums of art to the children along with an emphasis on art history. Our art studio is a gift that will inspire and encourage great new works of art. It is truly a blessing to be part of such a dedicated community of educators, parents and students.”–Mrs. Mullholand
